High-Temperature FEP Connection Cable 300/500 V

This high-temperature FEP connection cable combines Class 5 tinned-copper conductors with FEP core insulation and an FEP outer jacket. Designed for control, power and equipment connections, it provides reliable performance from extremely low temperatures up to +180°C while offering excellent resistance to oils, chemicals and solvents.

The cable is suitable for flexible installation. It should not be described as a continuous-flex drag-chain cable unless the final HULK construction has passed the relevant dynamic bending and service-life tests.

Conductor: Fine-stranded tinned copper, Class 5 according to IEC 60228

Core insulation: FEP compound based on 6YI1 requirements of VDE 0207-6

Core identification:

  • Up to five cores: Colored cores according to HD 308
  • From three cores: Green/yellow protective conductor where required
  • From six cores: Black cores with consecutive white numbers according to EN 50334, with a green/yellow protective conductor where required

Stranding: Cores stranded together in concentric layers

Outer sheath: FEP compound based on 6YM1 requirements of VDE 0207-6

Standard sheath color: Black, similar to RAL 9005

Alternative conductor sizes, core counts, identification systems and sheath colors are available on request.

Nominal voltage: U₀/U 300/500 V

Reference cULus voltage: 600 V

  • Reference installation radius: 7.5 × cable diameter

Temperature range:

  • Fixed installation: −90°C to +180°C

Radiation resistance: Approximately 1 × 10⁷ cJ/kg

Fire performance: Flame-retardant and self-extinguishing according to IEC 60332-1-2; reference UL FT1 and FT2 performance

Oil resistance: Very good under the referenced UL 758 test conditions at 80°C for 80 days

Chemical resistance: Very good resistance to acids, bases, halogens, chlorinated solvents and a wide range of organic and inorganic compounds

Electrical characteristics: FEP insulation provides low and relatively frequency-stable dielectric characteristics

Compliance reference: RoHS-compliant material configuration

Certification-related voltage, temperature and fire-performance claims apply only to finished products covered by the corresponding HULK test report or recognition.

BEFORE YOU ORDER

For stocked configurations listed in the ordering table, MOQ is 100 metres per specification. Custom configurations — non-standard core counts, jacket colours, or special compounds — carry a 500 metre MOQ. Samples of 5–10 metres are available free of charge for qualification testing.

Use shielded (P or PP suffix) whenever the cable runs alongside servo drives, VFDs, or inverters, or when carrying encoder, sensor, or analogue signals. Unshielded is suitable for pure power distribution and simple on/off control lines. If in doubt, our engineering team can review your cabinet layout and advise — this is included with any quotation.

Yes. Send us the existing part number or a sample and we will produce a cross-reference specification with matching electrical, mechanical, and dimensional characteristics. Most cross-references are turned around within 3 working days, with a physical sample following within 7 days.

Standard shipments include the CE Declaration of Conformity, RoHS and REACH statements, and the batch test report. UL Recognition (UL 2464 / UL 20549) is available on request for North American projects — specify this at the quotation stage as it affects the material specification.

Standard configurations ship in 15 working days from order confirmation. Custom-engineered specifications typically require 20–25 working days, depending on compound availability. Rapid sampling for new specifications is 7 days. We will confirm the exact date in writing with your order acknowledgement.
